It was another successful fundraiser at the 6th Annual ASA Sponsored Run For The Warriors 5k race in San Diego on October 25. The race is dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families and families of the fallen. Congratulations to team Duke Anesthesiology for raising more funds than any other team at this year’s event – a total of $8,433! All proceeds from the race will benefit wounded warriors and their families through the many Hope For The Warriors® programs.
Thank you to all of this year’s Duke Anesthesiology runners/walkers and to those who donated to the cause (not all donors are named below). A special congratulations goes to Dr. Richard Moon, Dr. Warwick Ames and Dr. Catherine Kuhn for being named the top three fundraisers of the entire event!
In addition to placing first in fundraising, several team Duke Anesthesiology racers won awards for placing in the top three of their age group! Congratulations to: Dr. Jack Gamble, Dr. Anne Castro, Maria Jimenez, Dr. Jeff Gadsden, Dr. Annemarie Thompson, Dr. Warwick Ames, and Dr. Richard Moon. And, a special congrats goes to Dr. Theresa Crowgey for taking home first place for “female overall results!”
