Elizabeth Allardice is “extremely honored” to be named chairwoman of the board of the Duke DREAM Campaign, effective August 1, 2016. Allardice first joined the campaign as a board member in 2010. The Duke DREAM (Developing Research Excellence in Anesthesia Management) Campaign was established to raise philanthropic support for Duke Anesthesiology’s research programs and initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, pain management and quality of life, as well as to establish endowed professorships. Its motto is to “empower great minds to turn dreams into reality.”
Allardice is driven by her commitment to educate people on the importance of medical research, quality patient care, caregiver support, funding for research, and organ donations. After losing her husband to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), Allardice has become involved in the support community of others who are dealing with this devastating disease. She currently serves on the Family Advisory Board for the Concussion Legacy Foundation and is actively involved in the West Point Association of Graduates in honor of her late husband. She is also a proud donor for the Feagin Leadership Program whose mission is to provide a transformational learning experience that develops effective, ethical leaders who will positively influence health care.
A leader in the real estate industry in the Triangle since 2001, Allardice enjoys making dreams of home ownership a reality. She has held several leadership roles in her professional career, including regional vice president for the North Carolina Association of Realtors, chairwoman of the Government Affairs and Grievance Committee, Board of Advisors for RE/MAX International’s Luxury Brand, and founding member of the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing.
Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth Allardice on her new leadership role of the Duke DREAM Campaign!
