Q: Can I email my physician/provider with questions?

Patients can email their physician/provider using Duke MyChart ONLY IF they’ve seen them in an office setting (ie: if a physician performed surgery on a patient but the patient did not have an office visit with that physician prior to surgery, they cannot use Duke MyChart to email the physician).

Q: Can I call my physician/provider with questions?

Patients who have seen their physician/provider in an office setting should be provided with an office number they can call if they have further questions.

Q: Who do I call with specific questions related to my procedure?

Patients are asked to direct questions to their physician/surgeon at their follow-up (postoperative) appointment, or to their primary care doctor who can get in touch with that patient’s physician/surgeon.
