Fellowship:
Cardiac Anesthesia, Royal Victoria Hospital (United Kingdom), 2000
Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Duke University Medical Center, 2002
Fellow, American Society of Echocardiography, 2005
Fellow, American Heart Association, 2006

Residency:
Anesthesiology, Delhi University (India), 1993

Clinical Interests:
Transesophageal echocardiography, anesthesia for major aortic surgery, postoperative critical care, acute kidney injury after cardiac surgery

Research Interests:
My overall goal is to identify and prevent perioperative renal dysfunction with emphasis on heart transplant and aortic surgery. My current research focuses on factors responsible for perioperative renal dysfunction including, but not limited to genetic polymorphisms. I am also keenly involved in transesophageal echocardiography in thoracic endovascular surgery.
