Duke Anesthesia’s New Interim Assistant Residency Program Director

We would like to congratulate Dr. Brian Colin for his recent appointment as Interim Assistant Residency Program Director. Dr. Colin is currently an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology within the GVTU and Cardiothoracic Divisions of Duke Anesthesiology. He completed his medical school training at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY in 2007, and his anesthesiology residency at Duke University Medical Center in 2011. He was the chief Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellow in 2013, from which he earned his TEE certification. His main interests lie in residency education.

Currently, Dr. Colin is the coordinator of the Departmental Grand Rounds lecture series and faculty advisor to several anesthesiology residents. His research interests include novel treatments for patients with sleep apnea, as well as transesophageal echocardiography.
