TEE Preceptorship Online Registration:

  1. To register online, click on the month below for which preceptorship three-day session dates you would like to attend
  2. If you are a new user, you will need to create an account. If not, please sign-in with your username and password.
  3. Complete all registration steps.
  4. Pay by credit card or other convenient payment options. Please see online payment options below.
  5. A printable itinerary and registration confirmation for the session will be sent to you by email upon completing the online registration form.

Registration Fees

Three-day Preceptorship$4,500 USD / 3-day session
Additional Day(s)$1,250 USD / day


Additional Days:

If preceptees wish to extend their preceptorship experience beyond the three-day session, they may do so at a charge of $1,250 USD per day for a maximum of two subsequent and consecutive days. Preceptees must indicate at the time of registration and include the additional amount with the registration fee. The extended days are not a part of the CME-approved course and CME credits will not be awarded for activities on extended days.

You will receive a registration confirmation by email immediately following your online registration. Please complete the form and mail it to the address below with your payment. Accepted methods of payment are MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or DISCOVER credit cards ONLY.

Payments must be made at least 6 weeks prior to start date. If paying by check, please ensure that the payment along with the paper registration form is submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the start date for the preceptorship (postmark on payment packet will be used). If payment is not received at least 6 weeks prior to the start date, the registration will not be processed and the dates may be provided to the next individual on the waiting list. After the check is received, the dates requested will then be blocked off, if they are still available. Registration confirmations will be mailed to the address provided.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

A written notice of cancellation must be received 15 days prior to the start of the activity. A $25 cancellation fee will be assessed at that time, as well as a 3% credit card processing fee. After that date, cancellation requests cannot be honored. Photography, Video, and Audio/Visual Recordings Policy:

The Duke University School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology (DOA) reserves the exclusive right to use any photographs/videos/audio recordings taken at any event hosted by DOA without the expressed written permission of those included in the photographs/videos/audio recordings. As a participant, attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, and/or guest at the Visiting Preceptorship in Intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiography, you acknowledge that photographs/videos/audio recordings may be taken of you, therefore granting permission to DOA (and its agents) to use the photographs/videos/audio recordings in publications or other media materials produced by DOA, including but not limited to: websites, social media pages, newsletters, brochures, etc. Registrants attending a DOA event who do not want to have their images/voices recorded for distribution, must send a written request to DOA at 315 Trent Drive, DUMC 3094, MS #48, Durham, NC, 27710 at least two weeks before the start date of the event. Unauthorized recording at the event is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, recordings of presentations or reproductions of supporting audio/visual materials, exhibits, and other supporting continuing education materials.
