Hi all:
I am currently an assistant professor of anesthesiology and the associate program director at Duke Anesthesiology. I completed my medical school training at SUNY Downstate in New York, followed by my internship, anesthesia residency, and a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship all here at Duke! My main interest, and the reason I elected to continue working within this great department lies in residency education as well as the utilization of TEE in high risk vascular patients for perioperative cardiovascular optimization. Outside of work, I enjoy trying all the new restaurants continuously opening in the Triangle area with my wife, working out, and seeing the latest movies in theaters. Drs. Thompson, Pollak, and myself are excited to bring this blog to you, and hope that it provides you with further insight as to why we think Duke Anesthesiology is the place to be! I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the interview seasons.
