Duke’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) community gathered in the Searle Center on May 17 to showcase educational research, quality improvement projects and innovation in GME! Faculty and trainees took part in a poster session showcasing their innovation grant, GME concentrations and educational research projects.
Among the awardees are Duke Anesthesiology’s Dr. Nazish Hashmi, critical care anesthesiology fellow, and Dr. Atilio Barbeito. They won the GME Concentration Award for their oral presentation, titled “Implementation and Evaluation of the Impact of a Standardized Perioperative Blood Transfusion Protocol for Cardiac Surgery Patients at the Durham VAMC.”
