Duke Anesthesiology’s “Fellow Class of 2017” gathered at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club on Sunday, June 4 for their graduation ceremony and to celebrate their shared accomplishment among family, friends and colleagues.
The director of the department’s Fellowship Education Program and the vice chair for education, Dr. Mark Stafford-Smith, along with the fellowship directors, proudly presented the 35 graduates their diplomas. The Duke Anesthesiology fellowships offer a rich clinical exposure to high complexity cases with oversight from world-class faculty. Within these fellowships is a cohesive community that comes together each week for a professional seminar on topics designed to assist fellows in developing skills as “thinkers and leaders” in their future careers. Upon completion of a fellowship at Duke Anesthesiology, graduates have enjoyed tremendous success in their professional lives.
