New Tactics in the WAR on Pain

Historically, physicians working with the military have adopted a, “one size fits all” attitude toward pain management. Soldiers are still being treated primarily with aspirin, morphine, and various derivatives to cope with their pain on the battlefield—essentially the same concoction that has been used to treat battlefield pain for years. This approach has proven itself to be unsuccessful time and time again. Here at Duke, we believe that it’s time to change our strategy.

Web Casting

Our technological capabilities have progressed and sharpened. We are now able to provide web based education not only to learners here at Duke, but to select audiences around the world. This article, part one of two articles, is about live web casting for regional anesthesia education.
