Congratulations to Michael Devinney, MD, PhD (first author), and all other authors for their publication being selected as the recipient of the 2024 Publication of the Year Award by the Alzheimer's Association’s International Society to Advance Alzheimer's Research and Treatment (ISTAART) for his project titled, “Role of Blood-Brain Barrier Dysfunction in Delirium Following Non-Cardiac Surgery in Older Adults.” Co-authors (from Duke Anesthesiology and other Duke departments) include Megan Wong, Mary Cooter Wright, Edward Marcantonio, Niccolo Terrando, Jeffrey Browndyke, Heather Whitson, Harvey Cohen, Andrea Nackley, Marguerita Klein, E Wesley Ely, Joseph Mathew, Miles Berger; MADCO-PC and INTUIT study teams. A presentation of this work is invited during the in-person Professional Interest Areas Day on July 27th.
