Background and Research Interests
Alexus received a B.S. in Biology from Duke University in 2023, after which she joined the Donnelly Lab. Her undergraduate research experience consisted of an internship at the Ji Lab at Duke, as well as participating in intensive summer research through the Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Fellowship at Duke, under the guidance of Dr. Junli Zhao. After joining the Donnelly Lab in June of 2023, Alexus explored the primary experiments of the lab before moving into a Lab Manager position, where she assists with much of the day-to-day work in the lab as necessary. She oversees the logistics of the lab and serves as the point of contact for most communications.
