Background and Research Interests
Jiyu is a freshman at Duke University planning to complete an interdepartmental major between biology and computer science along with a minor in creative writing. She hopes to integrate both the humanities and the sciences into her studies during her time at Duke with the goal of becoming a doctor and writer. Outside of research, Jiyu is currently a Laidlaw Scholar as a part of the Hart Leadership Program and is an executive member of the board for the Korean American undergraduate club at Duke (KAjok).
