The Duke CRNA Service Award

The Duke CRNA Service Award was presented to Sandra Goodeve, CRNA in October 2012.

Her peer wrote,  “I would like to nominate Ms. Sandra Goodeve for the CRNA service award. Ms. Goodeve serves our department via her anesthetic care to pediatric patients, including the main OR, off-site and most recently the pediatric cath lab. Ms. Goodeve also serves the CRNA team in her dedication to the orientation committee where she orients and helps train new CRNA staff to the Duke North department.

Ms. Goodeve has served the public providing by  leadership and service to a Ronald McDonald service project on September 15th. For this project Ms. Goodeve helped organize the menu and supplies, shop for materials, as well as aided 15 other Duke Pediatric Anesthesia personnel in providing a meal to over 70 people as well as clean-up. Ms. Goodeve exemplifies the values of the Duke mission in extraordinary care via clinical work, education and volunteerism.”

A $25 donation will be made in her name to the Duke Children’s Hospital Fund.  Please know that Sandra’s peers both nominated and selected her for this award.


About the Award

CRNA’s at DUMC are nominated by their peers to be recognized for acts of service, at home or abroad. The nominees are voted on by a rotating group of CRNA’s. The winner receives a certificate, a $25 donation in their name to the Duke Children’s Hospital fund, and his or her name engraved on a plaque.
