‘Run For The Warriors’ with Team Duke Anesthesiology!

Join Team Duke Anesthesiology to help raise funds and awareness about Hope For The Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting wounded service members, their families and families of the fallen.

Hope For The Warriors is kicking off their 6th annual Run For The Warriors race, sponsored by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), this fall. Run For The Warriors is dedicated to those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with their families. The race provides wounded service members encouragement and the opportunity to pursue the sport of running, walking, or cycling to assist in their physical and emotional rehabilitation. It’s a celebration of their strength and a shared belief that there is hope beyond recovery.

You can join the cause by running with the Duke Anesthesiology team at this year’s ASA conference in San Diego on Sunday, October 25. Participants can choose to take part in either a 5K run or a one mile walk/run. Those who aren’t part of the Department of Anesthesiology can join the cause simply by sponsoring the Duke Anesthesiology team and donating funds online!

Dr. Warwick Ames with Duke’s Pediatric Anesthesia Division is passionate about this organization and is an avid runner. He is this year’s captain of Team Duke Anesthesiology and hopes you will join his mission in supporting America’s heroes!
