Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are highly skilled health care professionals who play an essential role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams, APPs help ensure patients receive comprehensive care throughout every stage of their health care journey.
Within Duke Anesthesiology, our APPs bring specialized expertise to a wide range of clinical settings, including perioperative medicine, pain management, critical care, and inpatient and outpatient services. As nurse practitioners and physician assistants, they contribute to patient assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, patient education, and ongoing management, helping to improve access to care and enhance the patient experience.
