The objective of this proposal is to develop a drug discovery platform for Adrb3 antagonists that includes further assessment of Adrb3 as a critical target and a robust medicinal chemistry effort while establishing the multidisciplinary team of experts needed for U19 follow-on funding.
A Novel Clinically-Relevant Mouse Model of Chronic Overlapping Pain Conditions for Screening Analgesics
Funding Support
R33NS123753 / R61NS123753
04/01/2022 - 03/31/2025
The goal of this proposal is to develop and validate a novel mouse model of CPPCS in which genetically predisposed COMT+/- mice undergo stressful and injurious events resulting in clinically relevant behavioral and molecular phenotypes for in vivo screening of analgesic therapeutics.
