Duke University’s Department of Anesthesiology is one of six medical institutions in the nation to be selected as a testing laboratory site for the Stroke Preclinical Assessment Network to conduct ischemic stroke research, led by anesthesiologists Drs. Huaxin Sheng and Wei Yang.

Congratulations to Wei Yang, PhD, FAHA, on receiving a $442,750 R21 grant from the National Institutes of Health for his project that will use state-of-the-art approaches to investigate the role of neuronal activity in chronic stroke recovery.
