Thank You, Bob Foy, for 37 Great Years at Duke!

Ever since around 1969, when I was in the Army working in the ER, I had known that I wanted to be a CRNA and that I wanted to come to Duke to pursue that goal. I started the anesthesia program at Duke in January of 1975 and began as a newly minted CRNA in January of 1977. I was fortunate during my 37 years at Duke to work on several different services, spending time on the heart team, trauma, OB, as well as several others. I finished my career with a 14-year stint at the ASC. I am already enjoying retirement with a long list of jobs at home, helping Missy with the garden this year, shuttling the grandkids around, and taking care of our “island of misfit pets.” Attached is a picture of one of those misfits.
