Mark Stafford-Smith, MDThe Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Board of Directors confirmed Dr. Mark Stafford-Smith’s appointment to the ACGME Review Committee for Anesthesiology on June 8. Dr. Stafford-Smith is Duke Anesthesiology’s vice chair of education and the director of the fellowship education program. The ACGME is responsible for accrediting graduate medical education programs and institutions, while other organizations accredit medical schools (e.g. LCME, COCA) and continuing medical education (e.g. ACCME).
