Hi everyone! Like Drs. Annemarie Thompson, I am also a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist. After finishing medical school at Cornell, I came to Duke for excellent training and to join my now husband, who was an internal medicine resident at the time. I have since fallen in love with Duke and with Durham, and after graduating residency and fellowship I have stayed on as faculty. The amazing patients, trainees, and colleagues make this a wonderful place to work. Outside of work, I love having dinner parties with friends, exploring the outdoors, and playing with our golden-husky mutt, Kona. I am really excited to meet you during recruitment season, and I hope we give you a little taste of what our program is all about.
